Chicken Tanner

First of all, I cut off his lovely lovely blonde locks of love!! It was so hard to do! I didn't really want to do it, but I was peer pressured. He just doesn't look as good with short hair as long hair. Waaaah.
 

Ok, so yesterday I bought a rotisserie chicken for dinner, I left it on the counter.  I came back down and it was torn to shreds and and smushed flat.  I said "What happened to the chicken??"  Tanner yells from the other room, "I stepped on it mom!"  "WHAT??"  He calmly strolls into the kitchen, "Ya, I  put my feet on it"  "Whyyyyy Tanner?"  "Because I wanted to keep it warm for evow and evow"  Of course!  Why did I think of that?  All this time I've been keeping things warm in the oven...when all I needed to do was have Tanner stand on it.  Next time, I will use this method.

Michelle

Today I was able to photograph my great friend Michelle's c-section. Little Kira is so so cute!! I was just an amazing experience to be there and to see this enter the world! I've never seen a c-section...it was soooo cool! And when they stitch her up with her uterus outside the belly...it was amazing!! I loved it with all my heart. I would love to be an OB. Now definitely would not want to go to school for so long... but all the same, I can see why people go into that field.
Michelle is a strong, fabulous woman. She lost her 2 year old son James just a year a half ago. It's been a long, hard road. This baby is more than wanted. She will be cherished all of her life. Congrats Michelle!

An ode to Cherise...

A few words about my dear Cherise. You are one of the most artistically talented people I know... look here to see her amazing gift of drawing.  You laugh like no one else can laugh, your outtie belly button is oh so sexy, you have a gift for organization and speed cleaning, you're so  easy to talk to, and we all know it's easy for you to talk.  :)  I love that about you!  You always steer clear of gossip,   you lift peoples spirits when you're around them, and make us want to be better people. Alas, you are like sunshine when you smile with those pearly whites.  I love love love you!  You are a fabulous sister and one of my best friends!!

Where the Wild Things Are...

This little man always has something funny to say...or destroy, or hugs to give. He's too too funny. The other day he points to his nipples and says "these are my bellybuttons, and this (pointing to his bellybutton) is my knuckle". So I just say...."Oh, you're so cute." I love when kids say stuff like that! I just want to eat him up. Today we were in the kitchen, I open the fridge and he says, "Remember when you put me in the fridge and then you thought I was a chicken and you wanted to cook me?" Strange...I don't remember wanting to cook my chicken son. Oh, he just lights up my day with all his mischief.
P.S. Mom thanks for the Max costume...he gets good use out of it!

New Years Eve

New Years was so fun. We just hung out at Jaspers parents with his bro, Ramsey and girl supreme Ashley, and some of our best friends Jeff and Jamelle. We ate so much amazing food (Jaspers parents are nothing short of AMAZING cooks), played games and laughed. It was so so enjoyable. Thanks to some fantastic people in our lives!
This is Jeff, Jamelle, and us. I've known Jeff since I was 12, and Jasper has known him since they were little boys. He's always been such a great friend to both of us.  He and Jazz act just like little boys when they're together...it's so fun to watch...and role our eyes. Jamelle is a fab photographer and a really good Mom....we wish we lived closer!

My Ode....

An ode to my husband of 8 years...just this week.
He is amazing. He was amazing before I married him, and even more so now. He's so good to me, always helping out with the kids, puts them to bed and tells stories, every night. He never complains...leaves all of that up to me. He's so patient with me, bless him, he needs it. Really. We are opposites in so many ways, I thrive on social situations, they drain him. I always want to go go go and he is so good at slowing down. I talk too much, he's the quiet one. You can read me like a book and he's so mysterious. Yet, he's so uncomplicated. He's such a sweet husband, always thinking about others first. I don't know how I was so blessed!
Tae is his spoiled rotten with love by him. They adore eachother. I love these pictures. Something about them exemplifies that. Too bad he still has no idea how to get to our blog. :)

Cookie Painting

Yay!  I'm posting Christmas pics!  We were in AZ for almost 2 weeks...it was a great vaca.  We were eXtremely spoiled.  I cooked a big UNO time in that entire stay.  I rarely did anything really.   Time to get to the gym and work the cookies off my butt.  A favorite tradition from Jaspers mom is cookie painting. For years the adults would do it...it was so fun, well it still is, but it's even more fun now that we have all of these bobble head children to do it too!  That's the beautiful Ashley on the far right (an almost -but whose counting- family member).





Tae didn't really want to paint....just eat.  And eat some more.
