Sundays...

Jazz and I went outside last Sunday and found all of our children with out much clothing.  It was very hot, do you blame them?  It was so nice to just sit outside and watch the kids all playing so well together.
This is Helga the Wrestler as Jasper calls her.  She's actually quite strong...strong enough to push Mr. T all over the yard...
Finally a photo with this little lady with no front teeth.  Where does the time go?

Time Out T.

It seems this little man is spending much too much time in this here time-out chair. He doesn't really care. He doesn't care if I take away toys, or swat his tight bootie, or threaten anything or everything. When I get really mad he just starts laughing...and then I start laughing. I can't believe how much more difficult it is to raise children than I thought it would be, and their only little. Anyway...he's just so dang cute...

The Beach and Art

Last weekend we went to L.A. and the beeeeach.  We hung out with Ramsey and Ashley all weekend (Jasper's bro and fiance)  it was so nice to get away.  It was just for 2 days, but the perfect amount of time.  We spent most of it eating.  A major plus.  :) Aren't they fabulously beautiful?  I'm a little jealous.

Jasper even though you never ever read my blog because you don't even know the addy, I love love love you.  More than I ever thought I could.  You are so good to me, take care of me and our family. You're always striving...striving to be better than you were the day before, I love that about you.  You have a heart of gold, your patience seems unending.  And you love me amidst my many frailties- thank you for that.  And to think I EVER said no when you asked me to marry you...what was I thinking??  Thank you a hundred million times over for your dire persistence.  Loves XOXOXO

On a lighter note.  About a month ago I rummaged through Mads backpack and found this little beauty crumpled at the bottom.  I fell in love with it!  While she was at school I framed and hung it.  She was so excited and proud to see it on the wall in the kitchen.  Isn't it so pretty?!

You did what??!!

So we have a little girl over today to play, and she had an accident...couldn't quite make it to the toilet in time and peed on the floor.  So I put her in the bathtub.  Tanner wanted to join.  I said no (she has no brothers, I'm not scarring the poor child).  So he continues asking, I continue saying no.  I'm on my hands and knees cleaning the bathroom floor.  Tanner lightly taps me on the shoulder, I turn around and he silently points to a small puddle of fresh pee on the floor.  "Did you do that?"  "Ya, I just couldn't wait Mom, can I take a bath now?"  What the?!?  So he had to have a no fun shower and no bath.  I just can't get over him peeing on the floor just so he could take a bath.

Sweetness & Some deepness

This little lady is so sweet....

This quote is from the book "The Weight of Glory" by C.S. Lewis.  It's thought provoking I couldn't help but want to share (you may want to read slowly...):
"It may be possible for each to think too much of his own potential glory hereafter: it is hardly possible for him to think too often or too deeply about that of his neighbor.  The load, or weight, or burden of my neighbor's glory should be laid on my back, a load so heavy that only humility can carry it, and the backs of the proud will be broken...All day long we are, in some degree, helping each other to one or another of these destinations (heaven or hell)...it is in the light of these overwhelming possibilities, that we should conduct all our dealings with one another.  There are no ordinary people.  You have never talked to a mere mortal."
Now looking at Tae's photo up above I am again reminded how true C.S. Lewis' words are; There are no ordinary people.  None of us are mere mortals.
Who were you before you came to earth?  Are the person now you were then?
If you could see what you were then, would it strengthen your self esteem now?
If you could see your neighbors the way God does, would it change the way you interacted with them?
OK, I have to stop here...I'm thinking too much.  Thoughts???
